The Human Show turns the haunted house formula inside out.
Players begin inside a cliffside mansion filled with strange chores and subtle clues.
What seems like another ghost story quickly changes, revealing control rooms, power grids, and hidden tunnels hiding beneath the walls.

Core Experience

Every match unfolds like a live episode of a twisted sci-fi game show.
Players cooperate to solve environmental puzzles, uncover hidden systems, and survive a sequence of escalating “stages” inside the mansion.
A mysterious timer ticks down above the house as the environment decays in real time, forcing players to adapt or be consumed by the set itself.

The Gamemaster

One player takes on the role of the unseen gamemaster watching from the control booth.
They monitor cameras, manipulate doors, deploy traps, and summon horrors to sabotage the survivors.
In later phases, they can step directly onto the stage, controlling the show’s monstrous creations by hand.

Atmosphere and Design

The world is drenched in distorted 80s sci-fi energy, CRT monitors, neon lights, analog switches, and the constant hum of an artificial audience.
Every system feeds back into the theme of surveillance and performance: players are never sure who is watching or what is real.

Highlights

  • Deep asymmetric multiplayer between survivors and the Gamemaster.
  • Layered mansion map that expands into hidden sci-fi facilities mid-match.
  • Dynamic puzzle systems with synchronized timers and shared progression.
  • Reactive lighting, global stage events, and persistent house damage across rounds.
  • Built with Unreal Engine 5 using full replication and cinematic real-time lighting.
